President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR has approved the composition of the 13th Board of the National Universities Commission (NUC), with Emeritus Professor Oluremi Raphael Aina OFR appointed as Chairman.
The Board was inaugurated on Thursday 27 November 2025 at the Federal Ministry of Education alongside the Boards of NERDC, NTI and UBEC.
In his remarks, the Honourable Minister of Education, Dr Tunji Maruf Alausa CON, noted that the President has entrusted the Board to provide their expertise, knowledge and experience to guide the Commission as the education sector actualises the Renewed Hope Agenda of the current administration.
The National Universities Commission welcomes the new Board and looks forward to a productive tenure dedicated to strengthening quality, innovation and accountability across the Nigerian University System.
